SMU Giving Day on March 11 is our annual one-day giving challenge uniting every member of the Mustang community with easy and fun ways to support our favorite causes.

WHY SHOULD I GIVE TO SMU?
When you give to SMU, you shape people and programs who are changing the world – and you invest in a new generation of world changers. SMU donors power the University’s rise in impact and national prominence – and they secure the foundation for even more ambitious efforts in the decades ahead.

Give to what you are passionate about. Visit the SMU Giving Day home page to explore all of the great causes. They are arranged both by school and by purpose.
HOW WILL MY GIFT BE USED?
100% of your gift goes to the cause you support. Each cause's page has a short description on how your gift will impact their mission.
HOW DO I MAKE MY GIFT?
Giving links will be live for 24 hours beginning March 11 at 12:01 a.m. In the meantime, browse through the many causes to find the ones you would like to support.
MY CAUSE ISN'T LISTED. CAN I STILL SUPPORT MY PASSION ON SMU GIVING DAY?
Visit this link to make your gift on March 11. Your gift will count towards our SMU Giving Day totals.
CAN I GIVE THROUGH A DAF OR MY IRA?
Yes. Complete this form to have a grant from your DAF or a transfer from your IRA included in our totals. If you have any questions about making a grant via a Donor-Advised Fund, please email us at plannedgiving@smu.edu. If you need more information or assistance with making your gift, call us at 214-768-3739 (between 6:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. CST on Giving Day) or email us anytime at gifts@smu.edu.
CAN I SEND A GIFT BY MAIL OR PHONE?
Due to the short time frame of SMU Giving Day, only gifts made online or by phone are guaranteed to count toward the challenge. To give by phone, you may call 214-768-3834 from 6 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. CST on March 11. If you need to mail a check, please contact us at SMUGivingDay@smu.edu

WHEN WILL CHALLENGE WINNERS AND RECIPIENTS BE ANNOUNCED?
Winners will be announced on social media and on the Challenges page of the SMU Giving Day website after the challenge is over.
RULES & GUIDELINES
To ensure fair and meaningful participation in SMU Giving Day challenges and competitions, we encourage all donors to contribute in the spirit of philanthropy. While every gift makes a difference, multiple gifts from the same donor to the same cause for the sole purpose of increasing the number of donations in a challenge or competition may be subject to review. SMU reserves the right to adjust gift counts if activity is determined to be inconsistent with the intent of the event.
