Your Gift Makes a Difference!
The Big Event is SMU’s largest community service organization, working to educate students on what community service opportunities are available to them and pairing them with service projects that match their interests. Our goal is for SMU students to become more aware of local issues, compassionate toward others and dedicated to making a difference from participating in our events. Money raised for The Big Event during Giving Day will be used to help purchase supplies to organize meal packing events for members of the Dallas community in need, secure additional programming items for the morning of The Big Event (during which volunteers will participate at one of 20+ service sites), or help us to spread awareness of our efforts.
