The Society of Women Engineers at SMU is dedicated to empowering, supporting and inspiring women in engineering. We serve a diverse community of engineering students who aspire to make a positive impact on the world. SWE at SMU provides mentorship, networking and professional development opportunities for our members, helping them succeed in their studies and their future careers. We are passionate about fostering a supportive community that builds confidence, empowers learning and creates pathways to successful engineering careers.

The funds raised will go directly toward:
• Food for general body meetings to foster community, mentorship and collaboration among members.
• Catering and supplies for She Networks, She Wins – our flagship event in collaboration with SMU’s Lyle School of Engineering where students connect with industry leaders, gain inspiration and build valuable professional networks.
• Supplies for mentoring and outreach events that empower younger students and underrepresented groups to pursue engineering.
• Conference expenses for SMU SWE members – providing access to national conferences, where our members can network, learn and be inspired by women leaders in engineering.
• National membership fees for SMU SWE members – allowing students to become full members of SWE, access exclusive resources and participate in national events and competitions.
Each of these efforts fills a vital need for our members, from professional growth and networking to outreach and leadership opportunities.
