The Pre-Health
Readiness and Enrichment Program (PREP) at SMU is dedicated to
supporting students who are first-generation and from economically
disadvantaged backgrounds (Pell-eligible) achieve their professional career
goals in healthcare. PREP aims to help students successfully navigate
Pre-Health pathways at SMU, become competitive applicants for graduate
professional health programs, and complete a four-year degree. The program’s
mission is to foster a positive community, provide academic support, expose
students to health-related careers and resources while also creating
opportunities for personal development. We would like to use the funds to
provide entrance exam scholarships (MCAT/DAT/GRE), offer dedicated tutoring for
upper-level science courses, and to support student programming.
