Money raised will go toward the upkeep of our beloved mascot, Peruna, and his Peruna Handlers. The Peruna Handlers are passionate about preserving the Peruna tradition, which has been going on since 1932. Since his debut, Peruna has been a staple on SMU’s campus. The money raised on SMU Giving Day will used for the transportation, upkeep and maintenance of our favorite mascot. Money raised will also provide uniforms for the Peruna Handlers.
