Your Gift Makes a Difference!
The SMU Kappa Kappa Gamma, Gamma Phi chapter is looking to raise money to support chapter operations. This money would fund philanthropy events to support our three pillars of philanthropy: local Dallas nonprofits, the Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation, and Mental Health America. We are very passionate about our philanthropic causes, and have had clothing and food drives, Valentine's for Veterans, and other events such as Kappa Karnival in the past. With money from giving day, we could fund meaningful projects to advance both our chapter and the community. Additionally, we hope to use this money to assist our internal affairs department, composed of the Ritual and History Director, Academic Excellence Director, and Member Engagement Director. For the first time, we are having an annual scholarship brunch for those who meet a certain academic quota. We would hope to fund scholarships or financial assistance to those as well. Additionally, Kappa hopes to provide a small gift for those woman who achieve a 4.0. The Ritual and History director organizes the initiation of our new members, we would hope to use this money raised as financial support to new members who may be struggling. Lastly, the money would be put towards a mental health sisterhood event. Kappa is a sisterhood we are all passionate about because of the values of friendship and support in all of us. We are passionate about furthering both our chapter and the community.
