The SMU Men's Football program has a rich history and a bright future. With 177 players drafted to the NFL and 12 conference championships, SMU Football's legacy of excellence is clear. The Mustangs capped off the 2023-2024 season as AAC champions and have continued to showcase their competitiveness in the inaugural ACC season, currently ranked in the top 25 nationally.
The program's success is built on the dedication and commitment of Mustang fans and alumni. Their generosity through the Mustang Excellence Fund has been instrumental in enhancing the Football recruiting budget, revamping our practice field, providing competitive salaries to retain coaches, and funding a full-time registered dietitian/nutritionist and a mental performance coach for Football student-athletes.
