Your Gift Makes a Difference!

Help bring art to life – fund our bronze and aluminum casting! This Giving Day, we invite you to be a part of something timeless at SMU Meadows School of the Arts. Your donation will help students create beautiful, lasting works of art through bronze and aluminum casting. With every contribution, you’ll be fueling the creative process and ensuring that student artists have access to quality materials that stand the test of time. The Foundry is a powerful site of outreach that builds local, national, and international bridges between students in Meadows’ Sculpture courses and the art world beyond. Why bronze and aluminum? Bronze and aluminum are more than metals – they’re storytelling mediums that endure. Each piece cast with these materials has the potential to inspire and impact generations. By supporting the Division of Art: Research in Metal Casting campaign, you’re not just funding supplies; you’re building a legacy of art that resonates, celebrates and connects us all. Every dollar counts and helps us bring more art into the world. Join us in creating something beautiful and enduring. Donate today and cast your mark on the future of art!

Honoring the legacy of Professor James Sullivan, we seek to refurbish this facility that has been a cornerstone in Meadows for over fifty years.

The Foundry has created a link of collaborative efforts amongst SMU alums and the North Texas artist community while establishing professional relationships with museums like the Nasher Sculpture Center. This campaign helps the Division of Art continue to support students’ Academic Research in Metal Casting.
