Delta Gamma was created to foster high ideals of friendship among women, to promote their educational and cultural interests, to create in them a true sense of social responsibility, and to develop in them the best qualities of character. Recently marking its 150th anniversary, Delta Gamma’s Legacy is a testament to its enduring commitment to these ideals. As the Alpha Upsilon Chapter at SMU approaches its 100th anniversary, we pause to reflect on the contributions our chapter has made to the lives of our members. At the heart of our endeavors lies our philanthropy, Service for Sight, a cause born from the sisterhood’s dedication to supporting one another.
The traditions of sisterhood are upheld by the events we hold for the members of Delta Gamma by creating opportunities to learn more about our sisters. Coffee vendors at the house, cycling classes together, flower bouquet carts, movie theater nights and other activities bring us together and let us celebrate our common denominator, our love for Delta Gamma.
