Jennifer M. Collins Women_s Leadership Initiative at Dedman Law
The Jennifer M. Collins Women's Leadership Initiative aims to enhance the leadership and professional skills of women SMU law students and practicing attorneys and address the unique challenges they may face during their education and throughout their careers. Through a series of diverse programs and events, the initiative will address elevating women in leadership positions, retaining women in the legal profession, curing inequities in the legal field, enhancing rainmaking and networking skills, and providing solutions to gender barriers in the workplace to better equip law students and practicing attorneys to tackle these challenges, build successful lives in the law, and inspire change. Dedman Law is collaborating with other programs and legal, business and government leaders to reach our universal goal of empowering women to thrive in their careers, help our communities in need, and move the needle on inequities still present in the legal profession.

Life After Ball
The Life After Ball (LAB) program's core mission is to provide each student-athlete with the necessary skills for a successful transition to the professional world beyond their time at SMU. LAB's three pillars are connections, exposure and preparation, and all LAB events are built from these themes. LAB relies heavily on the involvement of our alumni network to contribute to this mission. A donation to Life After Ball will help to support the many networking events that are hosted each term, professional development opportunities and materials for student-athletes, branding and marketing materials for the program, and professional attire purchased for athletes with internships.

MADI: Design and Innovation Collaboration with Meadows (in Meadows & Lyle)
The Master of Arts in Design and Innovation would like to raise funds for our new design and innovation facilities that are being built on East Campus. The MADI space will include a collaborative design studio for community partnerships, classrooms for graduate courses, and a small workshop area with printers and supplies. This space will be dedicated for design and innovation efforts for SMU and with external partners. We'll hold classes, host community events, facilitate workshops and design other engagements as needed. This space will be a truly collaborative space for SMU and for the city that would greatly benefit from your support!
